I'm Mariana Ribon, an engineer with a passion for baking, originally from Mérida, Venezuela. Let me take you on a journey where every sweet dream comes true. It all started in school, where my love for making cakes and desserts for my friends grew into a fascination. My chocolate cake became a real favorite. In 2016, I took the first step towards selling cakes, creating delicious treats for local customers in my hometown. Then, in 2017, along with my husband, we ventured to Colombia, the springboard to our dreams.
During this journey, the seed of Villa Vainilla was planted, which fate later renamed "La Tortata." Little did we know that Villa Vainilla had something bigger in store for us. This challenging chapter not only taught me the art of pastry but also the challenge of owning a business in a new country, navigating unfamiliar processes. With the invaluable support of family and friends, we overcame obstacles and continue to spread joy through cakes and desserts in Colombia.
In 2023, a new chapter began when we arrived in the United States, and that's when my long-awaited creation, Villa Vainilla, was born. While we currently operate online, we are poised for growth with the support of our loved ones and, of course, all of you.
